Chuck Schumer’s Cure For The Tea Party

Chuck Schumer thinks he has all the answers, not just for the Democrats, but for the tea party as well. According to the book of Chuck, those that hold what has been described as tea party values are just a bunch of schmucks who are led around like sheep. Or some reasonable facsimilie. Apparently, branding Americans as a pack of idiots is Schumer’s master plan to bring us all together.

Since the rise of the tea party movement a few years back, Americans that were in favor of smaller, less intrusive government have been called every name in the book, from Nazis to racists and everything in between. Unfortunately, it was something that was agreed upon on a bipartisan basis. Many rino Republicans echoed the insults hurled by Democrats at their fellow Americans. But Senator Chuck Schumer has the answer to the tea party woes that currently infect the house, and thus a large portion of America. He plans to have much smarter liberals spread the good word about larger government and in effect, crush the minority tea party contingent. Time to dismantle Chuckie’s argument.

In a speech to the Center for American Progress (the choir), Schumer talked about how the tea party “elite,” like the Koch Brothers want something far different than what the average American wants. News flash for Schumer. There is no such thing as a “tea party elite.” What is known as the tea party is a movement, and anybody that comes up with some kind of agenda under the banner of the tea party is acting on their own, and in their own interest, separate from the movement. If that agenda happens to coincide with the desire for smaller government, lower taxes and less intrusion, then all the better. No Chuck, there is no elite that you speak of.

Schumer lauded the role of government with programs such as Medicare, and highway systems. Chuck, Medicare is hands down, the most fraud riddled program the government has, and that is quite a feat. As for the highway systems? That’s their job Chuck. Taxes out of my pocket and into a highway project. If you want the government to stop, just let the private sector know.

Schumer then went on the attack, apparently referring to the aforementioned, non-existent “elites” that manipulate their followers with propaganda outlets like FOX News and Rush Limbaugh. Question: Does anyone out there consider themselves followers of the Koch Brothers? Me either. Don’t try to tell that to Chuck Schumer. If we weren’t so brainwashed by the tea party elites we’d know that the Koch Brother call our shots and tell us what to think via FoX and Rush.

It’s because we just aren’t that smart. We don’t understand. Remember that Barack Obama used that meme during the Obamacare debate a few years ago. How us bunch of knuckle draggers were able to foresee what was going to happen there must have been pure luck. Make no mistake, there is the belief that conservatism equates to a lower IQ, and even racism. They’ve studied it. That is where Chuck Schumner is coming from.

Here’s Chuckie’s plan. Democrats need to get behind a few proposals that have widespread support-and ostensibly opposed by his definition of the tea party to apparently brand the movement as unreasonable and out of touch with the mainstream.

Too bad his plan insulted the intelligence of most of America, even those that might have been inclined to agree with him anyway.

However, he warned that the issues need to be “apparent and intuitive” and that the party needs to avoid “trying to explain a complicated or abstract government program.”

So simple even a caveman could understand. Remember, he was talking to leftist, academic elites that feel anyone that doesn’t agree with them are just idiots that needs to be brought around.

So Chuck Schumer succeeded in insulting the overwhelming majority of Americans in his effort to promote big government. Well, that makes sense, doesn’t it? Stupid and dependent on government. Makes me think Chuck was confused about what he wants compared to what actually is. Unfortunately for us, his dream is closer to reality than it ever has been.
